The State of North Carolina, and Queen's Grant High School, require a minimum of 22 credits to graduate.  These credits are split into 8 categories and you MUST meet the required amount in order to fulfill the graduation requirements.  If you are enrolled in dual enrollment through CPCC, some of those classes are eligible for high school credit and can take the place of QGHS courses.

IMPORTANT!!

If you want to go to one of the schools in the UNC system (NC State, Chapel Hill, App State, UNCC etc), two consecutive years of a foreign language is required for admission.  Also, most schools (whether in the NC system or not) require two years of a foreign language for admission and some even require three years.  QGHS offers Latin, Spanish and Italian on campus and a variety of languages through the North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) platform.  A third year of a language will count as an elective towards graduation (but be counted as a third year of that language).
