The Climate Change Action Brigade organizes activities to reduce carbon footprint and suggests ways to do so in our daily lives by reducing the amount of water and plastic usage, by adopting the 3R's , that is reducing, reusing and recycling , by reducing consumerism and learning to repair things, by adopting upcycling programs etc...
What did we do on Environment day?
QAS celebrated Qatar Environment Day on 26th February with a week long activities and celebrations. We wore green and sustainable clothes, and every staff and student who wore green contributed money which would go to charity proceeds.
Throughout the week, both students and teachers filled in google forms about the Carbon footprint they leave behind in their daily lives. The person who left the least Carbon footprint was chosen as the " QAS Green Warrior".
Our school Director presented awards to the student and the staff "Green Warriors".
