In grade nine, students will have a maximum of four subject homeworks per evening.

Below is an indication of the maximum time allocations per week, by subject:

• 25 minutes, daily: English, and Maths.

• 45 minutes, one a week: Art/ Design, INS, Islamic, and PHE.

• 60 minutes, twice a week: Arabic, French, Science, and Spanish.

Note:
PHE homework is set as required by the specific unit, and assessment criterion

Science homework is set mainly as preparation for assignments, and occasionally to complete classwork.

Assessment work or preparation for an assessment or test must be completed within the homework slot. Students cannot be given homework, and revision as two separate homeworks that require more than the subject allocated time.
