This workshop day will provide students with a deep dive into HSC Dance to provide additional support, guidance and rehearsal time for the practical components including Core Performance, Core Composition and Major Study and their accompanying interviews. The day will be convened by our experienced HSC Dance Marker Miss Lucy Eaton allowing students the opportunity to unpack the marking criteria and determine their plan forward in each area of study. Join us for a day of movement, creativity, and performance in our “Create a Dance in a Day” workshop, designed especially for junior dancers!
Students will learn how to build a dance routine from the ground up, using a variety of choreography techniques to bring their ideas to life. With guidance and encouragement every step of the way, they’ll explore rhythm, movement, and expression while working as a team to create something special.
Once the routine is complete, dancers will have the exciting chance to choose costumes from our collection and perform their piece in the Dance Talent Quest, judged by our panel of Dance Staff.
It’s a full day of dancing, dressing up, and showing off your talent—perfect for young movers ready to shine!

We will be holding optional face to face Holiday Workshops for the 2026 Performance Dance Auditions. All workshops will include a warm up, technique training and both audition combinations. Students will be provided with video tutorials by the end of Term 3 to learn the combinations for the style they wish to audition for. The workshops is an opportunity to rehearse the combination and gain confidence in the lead up to the audition sessions.
