During Week 4, all Onstage and Troupe students will participate in Stage Rehearsals in the GMCPA during their regular Dance class time. All students are to meet their Dance teachers in the foyer of the GMCPA at the start of their class. All school travel arrangements remain the same.
Please note all Sidestage, RAD Ballet and Eisteddfod classes remain in Dance venues with some venue changes on Friday 7 November as listed below.
Students are required for a compulsory Dress Rehearsal from 1.00pm to 4.15pm on Sunday 9 November.
The Dress Rehearsal is a day to confirm technical aspects and ensure students are confident on the GMCPA Stage and with the run orders. The afternoon session is a rehearsal for all Secondary Streams - including performance troupes. Eisteddfod Groups - Optional. It is an important milestone in the Production Schedule. Attendance is compulsory.
Students are required to sign in and out with the supervising teacher in their holding room.

Students must have flesh coloured undergarments that can not be visible while wearing their dance costume/s.
* No Make up required for Dress Rehearsal. Hair must be in high slick pony.
No classes in Week 5 due to Showcase rehearsals and performances.
All students will perform twice on Saturday 15 November. Both shows have the same run order. Students are to bring all necessary items listed below with them. Students need to have hair and make up done and teachers will assist with touch ups.

Early Dinner Break: 4.30pm to 5.30pm - Catering provided for students. If your daughter has any dietary requirements, please complete this form.
* Students are now permitted to leave between shows. Adequate supervision will be provided during this meal break.
Show 2: 6.30pm
Sign out: approx. 8.45pm - students are required to sign out with their supervising teacher before departing their holding venue.

Only RAD Ballet Classes continue in Week 6 and 7. All other Secondary classes conclude at the end of Week 4.
Year 7 to 12 students will be given their costumes to take home when the costumes arrive. Costumes will start to be handed out in Dance classes from Week 4 this term. Students are not to wear their costume for anything until after Dance Showcase. Students are required to care for their costumes and Dance items after they sign them out and keep them in their Garment Bag.
NOTE: We all parents are required to name their daughters costume/s on the tag so there is no confusion in the dressing rooms. We recommend that all belongings are named clearly.
Showcase T-shirts will be distributed in Week 1, Term 4 from the Dance Studio during lunchtimes. Students may commence wearing their T-Shirt in Dance classes as soon as they receive them. If your daughter has not received her T-Shirt by Week 2, please contact the Dance Office for assistance.
Garment bags will be distributed during stage rehearsals in Week 4 from the GMCPA. Students are encouraged to ask their class teacher.
While most classes have all costume items provided, some classes have additional items that they are required to obtain individually. Please find below a list of costume items that students are required to provide themselves:
Secondary Hip Hop (Year 7 and 8) Monday 6.15pm: 70-80’s inspired clothes. Lots of bright retro colours. Tops examples - jersey, bright t shirt, bomber jacket, varsity jacket. Pants examples - jeans, jorts, parachute pants.
Secondary Jazz (Year 7 and 8) Wednesday 3.30pm: Black fishnets
Secondary Jazz Cheer: Shimmer Tights and Pom Poms
Tap 2: Flesh coloured body stocking underneath costume
If your daughters class has not been listed, all costume items will be provided as part of the Dance Showcase Costume charge.
Students will be required to bring their dance costumes in their garment bags and any required additional garments for all Technical Rehearsals and Showcases (no makeup required for Technical Rehearsal). Students will be required to wear appropriate undergarments for each of their costumes, bring all dance shoes, and food and drink for breaks. Students are permitted to wear the Dance Showcase T-Shirt to and from all rehearsals and shows with black shorts or tights.

Students will need to do their own make up and hair on the day of the show and bring all necessary items with them on the day.
Makeup allows the students to be seen under the professional lights onstage. All students are required to wear the following makeup for the Showcase:

Eyeliner
Mascara
Low Slick Ponytail
Low Ballet Bun
Parents are NOT permitted to watch the dress rehearsal or be in holding rooms.
Students must sign in and out on the paper rolls provided at their holding rooms.
Students will be dismissed from the rehearsals / performances once all areas are tidy and clean.
Students are not permitted to leave until the show has concluded.
At the conclusion of the show Year 7 to 12 students can sign out and meet parents outside the foyer, at the Flagpole or at the Centenary carpark. No student is to catch public transport home in the evening.
NOTE: Please do not attempt to pick up your child during or between performances.

All Year 7 to 12 students in Dance Showcase will be charged a Showcase Package Fee of $80.00. This fee includes videography, photography, production technical elements, Snack Box in between shows and a Showcase T-shirt.
* Students also in Performance Stream will have an additional Showcase Package fee of $20.00 to cover their rehearsal and show days.
Students are permitted to wear their Showcase T-Shirt to dance classes once they are distributed in Term 4.
All students receive one costume per class that they are in. The cost of each costume is $95.00 for Onstage classes and will be added to your Term 3 College account.
Tights, undergarments, shoes and some additional items are not included. Any additional items required will be communicated later this term.
If your daughter is required to self-source their costume, no fee will be charged.
