Showcase Schedule

If your daughter is in an Onstage or RAD Ballet in addition to Performance Stream classes, you must also refer to the Year 3 to 6 or Year 7 to 12 information page for additional details.

Please see below required rehearsal and Showcase dates and times for the Performance Stream Classes.

Stage Rehearsal - Saturday 1 November

Students are required for a compulsory Stage Rehearsal on Saturday 1 November. Students are only required during their group times specified in the schedule below. All rehearsals commence in Main Hall 1 and conclude on the GMCPA Stage. Students are to sign in with their teacher at Main Hall and sign out at the conclusion of their rehearsal at the GMCPA.

Junior Lyrical Eisteddfod will have their Stage Rehearsal on Tuesday 4 November 6.45am to 8.00am on the GMCPA Stage and will not be required on this day.

What to bring

Students wear regular Pymble Dance uniform (no costumes required)
Appropriate dance shoes
Water bottle and snacks

Term 4, Week 4

Stage Rehearsals

During Week 4, all Onstage and Troupe students will participate in Stage Rehearsals in the GMCPA during their regular Dance class time. All students are to meet their Dance teachers in the foyer of the GMCPA at the start of their class. All school travel arrangements remain the same.

Please note all Sidestage, RAD Ballet and Eisteddfod classes remain in Dance venues with some venue changes on Friday 7 November as listed below.

Dress Rehearsal - Saturday 8 November

Technical Stage Rehearsal - Saturday 8 November

Students are required for a compulsory Dress Rehearsal from 8.00am to 1.30pm on Saturday 8 November.

The Technical Stage Rehearsal Sessions are to consolidate lighting cues and technical elements. Secondary Eisteddfod Groups rehearse both routines in the below groups times. Students are to be dressed in Showcase Costume - Group Leader to be in Eisteddfod Costume. Students are permitted to leave between their scheduled sessions between 9.00am and 1.30pm but must be back by call time at 1.30pm. All students must be ready and warmed up for their Stage Time.

Students are required to sign in and out with the supervising teacher in the GMCPA Foyer.

Dress Rehearsal - Saturday 8 November

The Dress Rehearsal will follow Friday evening run order and ensure the cast and crew are familiar with all logistics. Dress Rehearsals are a vital part of the production schedule. Where possible students will be able to watch other items rehearse. All Performance Stream classes are expected at this rehearsal.

The Call Time for all students is 1.30pm to 6.00pm. All Students are required to sign in at the below holding rooms. Secondary student sign out with Dance staff at their holding rooms, Junior parents are required to sign their daughter out from the below venues:

Year 3 and 4: Hedgehog House
Year 5 and 6: John Reid Hall

Strictly, no parents permitted in holding venues.

Holding Venues

Year 3 and 4: Music Rooms 4 and 5 (Upstairs Music Gallery)
Year 5 and 5: Junior Music Rooms
Year 7 and 8: Music Gallery
Year 9 and 10: Big Rehearsal Room
Year 11 and 12: GMCPA Dressing Rooms and Percussion Studio

What to bring

All costumes to be brought in named garment bag with any additional items.
Dance shoes
Water bottle and snacks
Students must have flesh coloured undergarments that can not be visible while wearing their dance costume/s.

* No Make up required for Dress Rehearsal. Hair must be done as per the guidelines below.

Dress Rehearsal - Sunday 9 November

Junior (Year 3 to 6)

Secondary (Year 7 to 12)

The Dress Rehearsal is a day to confirm technical aspects and ensure students are confident on the GMCPA Stage and with the run orders. The afternoon session is a rehearsal for all Secondary Streams - including performance troupes. Eisteddfod Groups - Optional. It is an important milestone in the Production Schedule. Attendance is compulsory.

Show 1 - Thursday 13 November

Showcase Week

No classes in Week 5 due to Showcase rehearsals and performances.

Production Schedule

This show is for Eisteddfod Students ONLY (Troupe not required). Students are to bring all necessary items listed below with them. Students need to have hair and make up done by their arrival time listed below.

Arrival Time: 4.30pm

All Students are required to sign in at the below holding rooms. Secondary student sign out with Dance staff at their holding rooms, Junior parents are required to sign their daughter out from the below venues:

Showcase Week

Production Schedule

This show is for all Performance Stream (Eisteddfod and Troupe). Students are to bring all necessary items listed below with them. Students need to have hair and make up done by their arrival time listed below.

Arrival Time: 4.30pm

Year 3 and 4: Hedgehog House
Year 5 and 6: John Reid Hall

Strictly, no parents permitted in holding venues.
Show 2: 6.30pm Show

Sign out: approx. 9.00pm - students are required to sign out with their supervising teacher before departing their holding venue.

Water bottle and snacks.
Make up and hair bag for touch ups
Students must have flesh coloured undergarments that can not be visible while wearing their dance costume/s.

Show 4 and 5 - Saturday 15 November (Secondary Only)

Eisteddfod and Troupe groups will perform their Showcase routines for both shows.

Costumes

NOTE: There are no additional charges for Eisteddfod costumes. The hire fee charged in Term 1 is the only fee. Additional costumes will be sourced from our current stock or students will be asked to supply their own.

T-shirts and garment bags will be distributed during stage rehearsals in Week 4 from the GMCPA.

Costume Return will take place during Week 7. More information to come.

Additional Costume Items

While most classes have all costume items provided, some classes have additional items that they are required to obtain individually.

Junior Jazz Troupe Year 5 and 6 (Showcase Routine): Self-sourced. Either top and pants or top and skirt combination in pastel blue colours and white (no dresses). Colours can be light blues and royal blues but avoiding navy.

Eisteddfod Junior Jazz (Year 3 and 4) (Competition Routine and Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights

Eisteddfod Jazz Navy (Competition and Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights

Eisteddfod Jazz Scarlet (Competition Routine): Hot Pink and Black self sourced
Eisteddfod Jazz Scarlet (Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights

Eisteddfod Jazz White (Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights, black fishnets and black leotard

Secondary Contemporary Troupe (Showcase Routine): 80's themed teenage outfits, bright colours, stripes, jeans (not ripped), no shoes.

Eisteddfod Contemporary White (Showcase Routine): Black bike shorts and black leotard

If your daughters class has not been listed, all costume items will be provided as part of the Dance Showcase Costume charge.

What to Bring

Students will be required to bring their dance costumes in their garment bags and any required additional garments for all Technical Rehearsals and Showcases (no makeup required for Technical Rehearsal). Students will be required to wear appropriate undergarments for each of their costumes, bring all dance shoes, and food and drink for breaks. Students are permitted to wear the Dance Showcase T-Shirt to and from all rehearsals and shows with Pymble Dance shorts or tights.

Showcase T-Shirts

Showcase T-shirts will be distributed in Week 1, Term 4. Students may commence wearing their T-Shirt in Dance classes as soon as they receive them. If your daughter has not received her T-Shirt by Week 2, please contact the Dance Office for assistance.

Garment Bags

Garment bags will be distributed during stage rehearsals in Week 4 from the GMCPA. Students are encouraged to ask their class teacher.

Hair and Makeup

Year 3 to 6 Eisteddfod : Low slick bun
Year 3 to 6 Troupe: High slick ponytail

Year 7 to 12 Jazz: Low slick pony
Year 7 to 12 Contemporary: Low slick bun

Makeup allows the students to be seen under the professional lights onstage. All students are required to wear the following makeup for the Showcase:

Foundation
Red Lipstick
Blush
Neutral eye shadow
Eyeliner
Mascara

Student Drop off and Pick Up

Parents are NOT permitted to watch the dress rehearsal. Students will be dismissed from rehearsal once the rehearsal has concluded.

Parents or guardians of Years 3 - 6 should bring their daughter to their assigned dressing rooms where they will be signed in by a staff member. Parents are NOT permitted in the dressing rooms after students have been signed in. Students will remain backstage or in their dressing rooms for the entire performance.

At the conclusion of the show:

Year 3 and 4 students must be signed out from Junior School Administration (Hedgehog House). Students will not be taken to Flagpole, carline or Centenary Carpark for pick up.

Year 5 and 6 students must be signed out from John Reid Hall. Students will not be taken to Flagpole, carline or Centenary Carpark for pick up.

Year 7 to 12 students can self-sign out and meet parents outside the foyer, at the Flagpole or at the Centenary carpark. Students are not permitted to catch public transport home in the evening.

NOTE: Please do not attempt to pick up your child during or between performances. If you need to pick up your daughter during the show, please email dance@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au prior to the show to make a request for special consideration. Staff will not allow any student to leave early without prior printed permission from the Head of Dance.

Fees and Payment

Showcase Package 2025

All Performance Stream students in Dance Showcase will be charged a Showcase Package Fee of $100.00. This fee includes videography, photography, production technical elements, Snack Box in between shows and a Showcase T-shirt.

* Students also in Onstage and/or RAD Ballet classes will be charged a total of $100.00 for their Showcase package fee only.

Students are permitted to wear their Showcase T-Shirt to dance classes once they are distributed in Term 4.

Dance Costumes 2025

All students receive one costume per class. The hire fee for all Performance Stream costumes has been included in your program fess which was added to your Term 1 College account.

Tights, undergarments, shoes and some additional items are not included. Any additional items required will be communicated later this term.

Award Presentation - Information coming soon!

Awards Presentation and Year 12 Farewell will take place in the Thursday 13 November Show.
