Performance Stream

Showcase Schedule

If your daughter is in an Onstage or RAD Ballet in addition to Performance Stream classes, you must also refer to the Year 3 to 6 or Year 7 to 12 information page for additional details.  

Please see below required rehearsal and Showcase dates and times for the Performance Stream Classes.

Costumes

NOTE: There are no additional charges for Eisteddfod costumes. The hire fee charged in Term 1 is the only fee. Additional costumes will be sourced from our current stock or students will be asked to supply their own.

T-shirts and garment bags will be distributed during stage rehearsals in Week 4 from the GMCPA.

Costume Return will take place during Week 7. More information to come.

Additional Costume Items 

While most classes have all costume items provided, some classes have additional items that they are required to obtain individually.

Junior Jazz

Junior Jazz Troupe Year 5 and 6 (Showcase Routine): Self-sourced. Either top and pants or top and skirt combination in pastel blue colours and white (no dresses). Colours can be light blues and royal blues but avoiding navy.

Eisteddfod Junior Jazz (Year 3 and 4) (Competition Routine and Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights
Eisteddfod Junior Jazz (Year 5 and 6) (Showcase Routine): Self source full length black pants with coloured top. Please find allocated colour top here.

Junior Lyrical

Junior Lyrical Troupe Year 3 and 4 (Showcase Routine): Self source. Blue/gold/white colour scheme.
Junior Lyrical Troupe Year 5 and 6 (Showcase Routine): Self source. Denim shorts white shirt, belt and a red, white and black bandana.

Secondary Jazz

Jazz Troupe (Showcase Routine): Self sourced. Purple/silver/black colour scheme
Jazz Navy (Competition and Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights
Jazz Scarlet (Competition Routine): Hot Pink and Black self sourced
Jazz Scarlet (Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights
Jazz White (Showcase Routine): Shimmer tights, black fishnets and black leotard

Secondary Contemporary

Contemporary Troupe (Showcase Routine): 80's themed teenage outfits, bright colours, stripes, jeans (not ripped), no shoes.
Contemporary White (Showcase Routine): Black bike shorts and black leotard

If your daughters class has not been listed, all costume items will be provided as part of the Dance Showcase Costume charge.

What to Bring

Students will be required to bring their dance costumes in their garment bags and any required additional garments for all Technical Rehearsals and Showcases (no makeup required for Technical Rehearsal). Students will be required to wear appropriate undergarments for each of their costumes, bring all dance shoes, and food and drink for breaks. Students are permitted to wear the Dance Showcase T-Shirt to and from all rehearsals and shows with Pymble Dance shorts or tights.

Showcase T-Shirts

Showcase T-shirts will be distributed in Week 1, Term 4. Students may commence wearing their T-Shirt in Dance classes as soon as they receive them. If your daughter has not received her T-Shirt by Week 2, please contact the Dance Office for assistance.

Garment Bags

Garment bags will be distributed during stage rehearsals in Week 4 from the GMCPA. Students are encouraged to ask their class teacher.

Student Drop off and Pick Up

Parents are NOT permitted to watch the dress rehearsal. Students will be dismissed from rehearsal once the rehearsal has concluded.

Parents or guardians of Years 3 - 6 should bring their daughter to their assigned dressing rooms where they will be signed in by a staff member. Parents are NOT permitted in the dressing rooms after students have been signed in. Students will remain backstage or in their dressing rooms for the entire performance.

At the conclusion of the show:

Year 3 and 4 students must be signed out from Junior School Administration (Hedgehog House). Students will not be taken to Flagpole, carline or Centenary Carpark for pick up.

Year 5 and 6 students must be signed out from John Reid Hall. Students will not be taken to Flagpole, carline or Centenary Carpark for pick up.

Year 7 to 12 students can self-sign out and meet parents outside the foyer, at the Flagpole or at the Centenary carpark. Students are not permitted to catch public transport home in the evening.

NOTE: Please do not attempt to pick up your child during or between performances. If you need to pick up your daughter during the show, please email dance@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au prior to the show to make a request for special consideration. Staff will not allow any student to leave early without prior printed permission from the Head of Dance.

Fees and Payment

Showcase Package 2025

All Performance Stream students in Dance Showcase will be charged a Showcase Package Fee of $100.00. This fee includes videography, photography, production technical elements, Snack Box in between shows and a Showcase T-shirt. 

* Students also in Onstage and/or RAD Ballet classes will be charged a total of $100.00 for their Showcase package fee only.

Students are permitted to wear their Showcase T-Shirt to dance classes once they are distributed in Term 4.

Dance Costumes 2025

All students receive one costume per class. The hire fee for all Performance Stream costumes has been included in your program fess which was added to your Term 1 College account.

Tights, undergarments, shoes and some additional items are not included. Any additional items required will be communicated later this term.

Award Presentation - Information coming soon!

Awards Presentation and Year 12 Farewell will take place in the Thursday 13 November Show.
