wE LOVE OUR TEACHERS!
As our scholars know, Woodsboro's teachers are the very best, so we are excited to celebrate them this week for TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK, MAY 6-10. We'd like to show appreciation to our PTA and TAW Chairperson, Holly Preciado, for showering our teachers with love all week. Students, if you want to do something special, a heartfelt note or card is always a great way to show how much you care about your teachers.
Woodsboro Robotics Team Wins 2nd Place!
We're thrilled to share some exciting news from the Woodsboro Bee-Botics team! Last weekend, they showcased their talents at the Spring Challenge showdown competition and achieved an impressive 2nd place in Robot Design out of 22 competing teams!
Over the past couple of months, our dedicated Woodsboro Team has been diligently meeting at Travis Ranch, alongside both new and returning students. Together, they've been immersed in the fascinating world of robotics through the FLL Challenge Program, facilitated by the amazing REACH foundation team under the leadership of Ms. Gisele Nguyen and her team of dedicated volunteers.
Guided by Mr. Ken Tam and lead coach Ms. Madhura Shaligram, our team has truly shined this spring. The team members - Avaneesh Nangare, Samihan Shaligram, Aarav Bhalodia, Eason Huang, and Matthew Tam - have demonstrated exceptional teamwork, innovation, and dedication throughout their journey.
Today's competition was a culmination of their hard work and determination. They participated in three rounds of timed missions, robot design interviews, and even collaborated with another competing team to tackle an "on the spot" challenge.
Please join us in congratulating our Woodsboro Bee-Botics team for their outstanding achievement and for representing our school with such distinction. We're incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to supporting them as they continue to excel in their robotics endeavors.
Thanks for coming out to our Book Fair and Food Truck Family Night and Love Yorba Linda campus beautification day, Woodsboro!
