Unit 1 Constitution Vocabulary Test
Use the flashcards and play memory games.
I believe homework is important as a valuable aid in helping students make the most of their school experience. I give homework to reinforce what has been learned in class, prepares students for upcoming tests, and teaches the importance of a routine and responsibility.
Homework will be assigned every Monday through Thursday night in spelling, vocabulary, and math. Time will be given in class when possible, so it is likely that only math with remain when child gets home. I gauge the homework according to the District Guidelines with no more than 50 minutes nightly, not including nightly fun reading. Every child works at different paces. However, if your child is spending more than one and a half hours every night, please let me know and I can make some changes. I want all students to be successful and stress free. Happy students are learning students.
If your child will be absent for a day or unsure about an assignment, please check our Google classroom for the homework list or have your child call a friend.
The "Scholar Pages" have all the Reading, Writing, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Grammar assignments written out for the week. Math homework can be printed by having your child log in to their Clever account and click "Think Central". Type in the assignment for Homework & Remembering to print at home.
Students are encouraged to complete lessons, Scholar pages, and reading due to an absence.
Call to have work brought to the office for absences of 3 days or more. See District guidelines for COVID quarantine.
Understand that not all work can be made up, like science labs, but ask for the notes to copy at home.
If at all possible ***DO NOT BE ABSENT ON MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS*** Mondays set up skills for the week and Fridays are test day.
Early release is also discouraged. Every moment learning is happening.
