Overview:
With Basketball being our third sport of the school year we will have our season roughly be around from December 7 - March 2 (This is an estimate using last years dates). Their will be at least two practices a week from 3:30 - 4:30. We will only have a one day competition which will be at the end of season. The competition will be a District Wide Tournament at one of the District High Schools (last year was at El Dorado High School). Their will be two brackets one for Girls and the other for Boys. This year with the changes the District has made we can only take 1 Girl team and 1 Boy team.. Girl games were a half court 3 vs 3 with 6 girls on a team. Boy games were a half court 4 vs 4 with 7 on a team. Further details about the past Tournament can be found here. Their will be future changes and once we have them we will let you know.
With having limited teams for this sport we can only take so many athletes. If their is a conflicting schedule due to prior commitments be sure to communicate with Coach Moreno. We look to see if the student is following their behavioral contract on and off the court that they turned in and other factors as well .
After School Late Bus:
For those of you that take the after school bus we will have a Late Bus that will be available to you if you want to be apart of Intramural Sports.
The bus will be picking up in the upper parking lot on Angelina. The Kraemer stops are offered at: Acacia & Benmore, and St. College & Balsam. This bus is for the rest of the year Monday through Thursday. If a student is taking the bus, tell Coach Moreno before practice to be dismissed around 4:20 to catch the bus that leaves exactly at 4:30.

3:30 - 3:35 Get ready for practice dress out, use the bathroom, fill up water, scan in with their ID for attendance,etc.
3:35 - 3:40 Team discussion in the Rock Wall Room
3:40 - 4:20 Practice on Blacktop
4:20 - Dismissal for After School Late Bus students
4:20 - 4:28 Finish up practice
4:28 - 4:30 Team discussion / Dismissal
