The Tech Tank is a weekly event where PVUSD staff can come to learn and share ideas that help us all to innovate with technology! Each “Tech Tank” features a different digital learning topic. This session will cover all the tools you'll need to use on a daily basis: network logins, accessing tech support, attendance and grading systems, tech equipment, as well as digital learning resources.

Canva and Kami

Have you ever wanted to make beautiful worksheets and guided notes documents like those found on TPT? If so, Canva is a great web based tool you can use. Canva is an online design and publishing tool that can be used to design anything. Create a worksheet or guided notes document that you can download as PDF, which then can be opened in Kami.

Learn how to use the District's subscription to Kami to create assignments for students. Kami allows you and the students to type, draw, highlight, and record audio and video on any document, including PDFs... and it's all integrated with Google Classroom!

In this session I will share a few of my favorite EduProtocols, from the excellent book The EduProtocol Field Guide: Book 1, by Malena Hebern and Jon Corippo. EduProtocols are simple content frames that can be used to simplify lesson planning and help students have fun while learning. I will share the ways I use a few of my favorite EduProtocols both for distance learning and when we are in the classroom.
