Required materials
-Appropriate clothing for Physical Education (Aptos High PE uniform recommended). The required uniform for class consists of a navy, grey, or black crew neck t- shirt with sleeves, navy, gray, or black active wear shorts or sweat pants. No Logos on clothing. Non-marking and non-cleated athletic shoes are required at all times. Students must provide their own swimsuit and towel during aquatics. Team uniforms are not accepted as substitute clothing.

PE class rules
-Follow directions the first time given.
-Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
-No cursing in class.
-Be on time and appropriately dressed.
-Follow school, PE Department and locker room rules.
-Respect teachers, staff, students and equipment.
Students must wear the PE uniform during PE class in any weather conditions.
Appropriate social skills and behavior are required in class. Although additional safety and rules will be given with each activity, general infractions of the rules are as follows: non-participation, non-suit, leaving before the bell rings, foul language, unexcused tardy or absence, cheating, safety violations, and disrespecting other people or property. In addition to point deductions, disciplinary steps for breaking behavior rules are:
a. Conference with teacher (Minor incident report 1)
b. Conference with teacher (Minor incident report 2)
c. Phone call home (Minor incident report 3)
d. Referral (Minor incident report 4)
Electronic expectations
Phones are to be locked in your lockers on in the PE office
If you forget, surrender your phone to your teacher at the start of the period with no negative consequences
If we see your phone or that you have a phone with you during a PE class, it will be considered a violation of the classroom expectation, loss of point and a minor incident report
