6th Science

Overview

Welcome to 6th grade science! From fecal transplants to climate change, we'll be exploring all sorts of exciting and important topics this year.  This is your opportunity to think critically, conduct investigations, and support your arguments with scientific evidence.  We will be following the NGSS integrated science standards for 6th grade and will be using the Amplify curriculum throughout the year.  Amplify does not have a physical textbook, but all content and resources are available online.  All specific information related to this course will be posted in Google Classroom.

Trimester 1: Thermal Energy, Ocean, Atmosphere, and Climate, Stranded Engineering, Weather Patterns

Trimester 2: Earth's Changing Climate, Engineering Internship, Microbiome, Healthy Choices

Trimester 3: Metabolism, Body Systems, Traits & Reproduction, Metabolism Engineering
