Peer Tutoring!
At SRTMS, the middle schoolers are contributing in peer tutoring the elementary kids. Our wonderful peer tutors are taking time from their lunch and homeroom to make this possible! This is an excellent opportunity for them to understand how to teach younger kids and for the elementary kids to have the ability to interact with those older than them.
Thank you to all of our peer tutors!
Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated on October 31st every year. Mostly kids go trick or treating to get candy but sometimes there are parties and dances that kids do every year. This all started because people thought that the dead were going to visit them on Halloween so they thought that the dead thought they were one of them and not haunt them.
The first dance is finally here! The middle school Halloween dance is on Friday, October 20th, from 6pm to 8pm! The theme is "Classic Halloween", but this doesn't have to have an influence on your costume! Be whatever you want, but the costume can't have blood or any type of weapon. Other than that, feel free to be as creative and as expressive as you want with your costume!
Red ribbon week is a celebration of fighting against drugs and you can help! Just follow what the paper says like wearing a jersey on Monday to wearing western style clothes on Friday. Help SRTMS fight drugs during Red Ribbon Week!
Trunk or Treat was on October 27th and everyone got so much candy! People got candy and toys from trunks that the people decorated beautifully.
