The Assistant Principal is here to help students achieve success in school. The AP works closely with parents, teachers, administrators, the school psychologist/counselor and other personnel to help students reach their academic and personal potential.

Individual Counseling
In a confidential setting, the dean, along with the school psychologist, can employ effective counseling techniques in areas such as:
* Developing skills related to decision making and problem solving
* Developing positive attitudes and behavior
* Dealing with interpersonal relationships
* Crisis intervention
Small Group Counseling
In small group counseling, the assistant principal may meet with two or more students to work on conflict mediation, social/emotional issues and develop supportive relationships.
Students can be referred for individual/ small group counseling by parent, teachers/staff, or by the students themselves. The school counselor, Todd Patterson will address ongoing counseling needs.
