RECOMMENDATIONS
For the Private High School Application process, there is a $25.00 processing charge per school "family" to process the application (print out transcripts, send STAR scores, time to write recommendations etc.). Checks need to be made out to PVSD and given to Kathy Hoskin in the office before your paperwork is processed.
You do not need to pay for each school that your child is applying to- just a one time charge per "family of schools" and we will just make copies of the forms in the office.
For example, if your child is applying to 5 schools- St. Francis, ArchBishop Mitty, Menlo, Woodside Priory, Castilleja:
St. Francis, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose Diocese/Catholic High School Family) : $25.00
Priory, Castilleja, Menlo (Bay Area Independent High School Family): $25.00
So Total Cost is $50.00 (not $125.00)
For Private High School Teacher Recommendations, please have your child give these forms DIRECTLY to the teachers and include a stamped envelope so the teachers can send them to the schools directly. For Principal/Counselor Recommendations and Transcript Requests, please give these forms to Kathy Hoskin in the front office- we DO NOT need a stamped envelope for these forms as we mail them all together in a large envelope to each school.
PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL TRANSFERS
The Open Enrollment Transfer Request for Sequoia Union High School District is due February, 2016. You are to turn these forms in at the Sequoia Union High School District Office in Redwood City.
