Married People
Hi:
My name is Paula Webb and I am the Women's Ministry Director at La Casa de Cristo located at 6300 E. Bell Road. (We are close to Horizon)
We offer a program to couple called "Marriedpeople." We watch couples' children so they can either go on a date night or attend dinner with a speaker that encourages them in their marriage.
We are always looking for volunteers, so I wanted to reach out to you. We meet once a month, September through April, and we will love to have teenagers that need service hours
to help. You can contact me at pwebb@lacasadecristo.com if they want to help. We could use 4 or 5 helpers.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Below are the dates for Marriedpeople for 2022-2023. We meet at the church from 5:00 to 7:00 for Night Outs (where couples have dinner and hear a speaker) and them from 5:00 to 8:00 for Date Night.
Upcoming Dates:
March 23rd, and April 13th.
Hello Stiix
My name is Alex Reader, I am a former Husky (class of 2016), and also a former member of NHS.
I founded and run a STEM education organization named STIIX (https://www.hellostiix.com/) We work with lots of underprivileged schools around the Southwest and could always use some extra hands packing STEM kits and supplies at our headquarters near Horizon.

Swift Youth Foundation
My name is Melissa Fried and I am the Senior Director, Programming with Swift Youth Foundation.
Swift Youth Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit in Scottsdale and we are currently looking for help with our Swift After School program. Swift After School provides after-school STEAM activities that foster positive mentor relationships between youth who are economically disadvantaged and college-bound teens. When the school day concludes, students from local school districts gather weekly at four different locations, Homeward Bound, Wilson Elementary School and Palomino Primary and Intermediate for fun and enriching STEAM activities.
We would love it if your students would get involved. In addition to all students getting volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity for Seniors to get volunteer experience on their college or career application or NHS students to get their community hours. You can learn more about our foundation at www.swiftyouth.org. The sign up link is below if you are interested in sharing it. We grant community hours for anyone who participates.
