Jennifer is thrilled to be serving as president of the drama board and is looking forward to an exciting year of performances, rehearsals, costumes, and all the wonderful chaos that comes with high school theater. She loves being able to support the students and cheer them on as they grow both on and off the stage. Jennifer is a proud mom of two—a son who is a junior at Horizon High School and a daughter who is a junior at ASU’s Barrett Honors College. She is excited to be part of creating a memorable year for the drama program.

Fun Fact: Jennifer’s middle name is Maria—named after her mother’s favorite character in West Side Story. Jennifer used to be a competitive roller skater.

Natalie is dedicated to doing everything in her power to support the drama program and ensure student success. Her enthusiasm was sparked by her daughter Rylie's involvement last year, which made her eager to contribute. She looks forward to collaborating with the board, students, and parents to make this year exceptional.

Fun Fact: Natalie was lucky enough to perform line dancing, one of her favorite hobbies, on the NASCAR stage at last year’s race.

Joey is really looking forward to bringing in a whole new year of Horizon families into the drama fold. High school goes by much too fast, but being a part of Drama brings so many opportunities to share the experience with your kiddos!

Fun Fact: Joey was a member of the National Thespian Society back in the 1900's!

Gardenia is excited to be part of the Spotlights Board for the 2026-2027 school year and is eager to support the Horizon drama program in every way she can. As the parent of two students in the drama department, a freshman and a sophomore, she understands the importance of providing a safe and welcoming environment where students can express themselves, build confidence, and develop their talents. She looks forward to collaborating with fellow board members, students, and parents to help make this an outstanding and memorable year for the Horizon drama community.

Fun Fact: Gardenia is an overly enthusiastic volunteer who spends her days working in the world of property tax consulting but considers volunteering at her daughters' schools to be her favorite form of self-care.

After volunteering for several Drama Club productions and events last year, Melissa is excited to be part of the Spotlights Board for the 26-27 school year. As a mom to a theater kid (and as a former theater kid herself), Melissa knows the importance of having safe, creative spaces where students can learn, connect, and thrive, and she is eager to support the Horizon drama program in any way that she can.

Fun Fact: After graduating from ASU with a B.A. in Theatre, Melissa worked in fundraising for the New Victory – New York City’s first theater for kids and families located on 42nd Street near the heart of Times Square.
