This video shows you how to access Google Classroom from home.
Open up a new email. In the subject line type the name of the lesson so it is easy to find.
On the right side just above the keyboard you will see an arrow <.
Click on the arrow and it will bring up options of things to insert in an email. Select the icon that looks like a document with a frame on the corners. This is your scanner. Don't take a picture because it will upload differently. Use the scanner instead.
Place your paper on a flat surface and hold the phone over it until a blue box covers the document. Give it a second and it will scan it for you (or you can just push the circle at the bottom of the screen). Scan both sides and then tap "save" at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Make sure the attachment is in the email. It will likely be named "attachment1.pdf" automatically. PDF stands for Portable Document Format and it is how papers are emailed
When you open your email, you will see the attachment. Hover your cursor over the attachment and you will see the option to add it to your drive.
Go to the "waffle" in the top right corner and click on your drive.
On the left side you will see "recent" and this is where you will find the attachment you just saved.
(optional...highly recommended) You should rename your document so it is easier to find later. Click on the assignment and select the three dots (right upper corner). Go to rename and give it the short name for a math assignment (ex. M3L14)
Go to the Google Classroom assignment and click on "+ Add or create"
Select Google Drive. Then select the document you want to attach (it should be in your recents...if you renamed it right away you can search for it by name).
From the assignment, select "Turn In" once the attachment is added and send your assignment to your teacher.
Do a happy dance because you know how to do something a lot of people can't do yet!
