Hello to all Swim + Dive Families!!!
Our tradition with St. Anthony’s continues again this year for the 25th year!!! SO EXCITING!!! This is a great chance for us to do something a little different as a team, get to know each other better, and continue the tradition of sharing our love of the sport with the team at St. Anthonys. This year the trip will be January 3rd – January 5th and will cost each athlete that attends $435 to cover bus, hotel, meals, and coaches / bus driver costs. A detailed itinerary for the trip is linked below and should help to explain the plans for the weekend and clear up any questions you might have. The Finance office has set up a link for athletes to register and provide payment. IT IS CRITICAL that this occurs for all that plan to attend by end of day Wednesday December 11th – and if your athlete does not plan to attend, please respond email Coach Haupt (mhaupt@pvipanther.net) and Dawn Foley (dawn@foleycorp.com)!
In addition to registering through the link provided – there are TWO FORMS that must be completed by all planning to attend (1) Athlete Selection form, and (2) Permission Slip. These must also be filled out and given to Coach Matt at practice no later than Wednesday December 11th – with the Holiday break we need to have all plans for the trip prior to the school closing.
As for chaperones / parents – Dawn will be reaching out to those that volunteered as chaperones that are on the ‘compliant’ list with the school to act as chaperones – we are required to have a 1:7 ratio of compliant chaperones (coaches count in this number also) and students to be cleared for the trip. For others that offered to chaperone but that are not compliant, I am working with the school to understand if you can do anything prior to the trip to be compliant– I am not sure at this time if there will be enough time. Regardless of being a chaperone, we are happy to have parents join – but only chaperones can be on the bus ride and act as chaperones with the planned itinerary activities. Other parents can join us in New York for the team dinner and can also attend the swim meet. I will be sending a separate link for registration / payment of all chaperones as well as parents who wish to join us for dinner – the payments for this will be Chaperones $100 and Parents joining for dinner $50 – stay tuned, just waiting to finalize a couple of details with the school to get this out.
