HS-BCP Credential

Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) Credential

The Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) credential allows individuals with a human services degree to advance their careers by gaining independent verification of their knowledge in the field and of their educational background. In order to receive the credential, individuals must meet post-degree experience requirements, have their educational and professional experience reviewed, and pass a national exam.

Students who are enrolled in Purdue University Global’s Associates, Bachelor’s or Master's degree programs in Human Services are eligible to take the exam at a discounted rate.  In order to qualify to register for the exam, students need to be in academic good standing and have 15 or fewer semester hours left to complete. The fee for the exam is $180.00. Applicants have five years from taking the exam to submit verification of experience. 350 hours of volunteer or work experience must be obtained post-degree.

Purdue University Global’s campus coordinator for the HS-BCP credential is Jessie Budzinski.  For information on how to apply for the HS-BCP credential and register for the exam, you can contact her at: jbudzinski@purdueglobal.edu.
