BS in Criminal Justice - Crime Scene Investigation

What motivated you to want to go to college and Purdue Global in particular?

I have always wanted a college degree in criminal justice so that I could make a career in law enforcement.

What is one challenge you have faced in continuing or completing your studies/degree? How did you overcome that challenge?

The challenge for me has been juggling a family, being a spouse of a 100% disabled combat veteran, working full time, operating a 501c3 non profit, battling breast cancer, and maintaining an A average while serving on the Executive Board of the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society. Earning my degree makes it all worth it.

What was your most positive experience at Purdue Global and why?

My most positive experience at Purdue Global is receiving recognition for earning a spot on the chancellor's list every term since enrollment so far. This achievement has not been easy but very rewarding.

How has going to college impacted you and your family?

Going to college has impacted my family and I in a positive way. Seeing me finally working towards earning this degree has given us all something positive to look forward to.

What advice would you give to first-generation college students thinking about attending Purdue Global?

I say to the first-generation college student to make the step by selecting the degree that best fits them. Be the first to start a new generational goal by attending this amazing school and accomplishing something great, a first-generation career!
