Master of Science in Legal Studies

What motivated you to want to go to college and Purdue Global in particular?

I have a best friend that I went to college with before I transferred to Purdue Global. After I graduated from my previous school, my best friend encouraged me to enroll at Purdue Global. I wasn't sure if I wanted to attend Purdue Global. I put the idea of enrolling off long enough, so I stepped out on faith and enrolled and it was the best decision I've ever made. When I called my best friend to let her know that I'd enrolled at Purdue Global, she was so excited for me. The best part of my journey was that I got to share my graduation with my best friend in 2019 when we walked across the stage together and got our degrees. Fast forward to 2021, and I'm getting my Master's in Legal Studies and I'm set to graduate on 02/22/2022. Purdue Global is a wonderful school and I will recommend Purdue Global to my family and friends.

What is one challenge you have faced in continuing or completing your studies/degree? How did you overcome that challenge?

The one challenge that I've faced is overcoming my fear of not being good enough to finish what I've started. I've learned to believe in myself and conquer the goals that I've set on my journey to complete my degree. I can happily say I will achieve my goal of completing my degree on 02/22/2022.

What was your most positive experience at Purdue Global and why?

My most positive experience at Purdue Global is getting recognized for my academic achievements and being inducted into the honor societies that I'm part of.

How has going to college impacted you and your family?

Going to college made a big impact on me and my family because the college experience I'm getting is helping me do what I love to do, and that's helping those who can't help themselves. I'm a CASA volunteer and I enjoy working with those that I get to help.
