Community Mental Health Agencies are local agencies within our community there for you. These are agencies that focus on, through a wide range of therapeutic modalities, helping you reach your goals to a better and healthier life. There are 3 main school-based agencies. This just means they have a contract with each of our 12, county schools, each serving a particular school for emergencies. There are also many other school-based approved agencies listed below. These are agencies that have completed their paperwork so that they are able to see your student at school, if needed. Lastly, there are many other wonderful agencies listed below that would be a wonderful place for your student and/or yourself to start the journey of a better and healthier life.

Mental Health Hotlines are telephone numbers available for you to use as needed. This allows you and/or your student to talk to trained professionals in time of need right from your home, in your car, or on your walk. Remember, these numbers are not to be used in an emergency situation. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, always call 9-1-1.

Kentucky Treatment Facilities are usually a short- or long-term out-of-home stay. These provide a more in-depth evaluation with more extensive treatment. These are usually placements that are used through a referral process by either school staff, or a licensed professional. However, if you or someone you love would benefit from a stay, feel free to make a call to make a referral. Remember, if a school staff refers your student to a facility, or for an evaluation, you must provide a statement from either stating that your student is able to return to school.
