Confluence High School Graduation Requirements

Continuation high school students must complete the following requirements to receive a diploma of graduation,  accumulating a total number of courses that equal 220 credits.

English30 credits

Mathematics:  20 credits

*10 of these credits must be in Algebra or a higher level class if the student completed algebra in elementary school  (the district's equivalent is Integrated I, II and III)

Science:  20 credits 

History/Social Science:  30 credits

*10 credits in World History and Geography

 *10 credits in U.S. history and Geography 

 *5 credits in American government

 *5 credits in Economics

VAPA, World Language or CTE:  10 credits 

Physical Education20 credits

Additional Electives:  90 Credits

*40 credits of Advisory

*50 credits Personal Education Plan which would include internships, elective courses and/or pathways of study courses taken at the comprehensive high school.
 

Personalized Education Plans (PEP) will determine programs of study and course selection for each student on an individualized basis and may allow variation in the number of credits while still meeting the state minimums.

All Confluence students are expected to complete an internship before they graduate.
