Mental Health Services

Placer Union High School District

Meet Your PUHSD Mental Health Specialists (MHS) and MHS Associates (MHSA)

Mental Health Specialists (MHS) and MHS Associates create systems of support to promote student functioning and mental wellness.  For students experiencing social/emotional/environmental challenges, MHS clinicians team with the student, their families, school staff and community partners to decrease potential barriers to learning and academic achievement. Through tiered prevention, intervention and referral services, PUHSD students and families are provided social/emotional education and support, to enhance the optimal high school experience. Our goal is to have students graduate as healthy, well rounded individuals, ready to positively contribute to our communities.
