Deb Dana: Befriending Your Nervous System - This is about a one-hour podcast. Deb Dana is a trauma therapist who specializes in polyvagal theory. Her presentation on how we can learn to regulate is a very user-friendly explanation of how our nervous systems work and how we can learn to manage them.

Resilience - Linda Graham : A beautifully written book full of strategies for regaining resilience when life knocks you for a loop. Strategies are divided into three levels: Barely a Wobble, Sorrows & Struggles, and Too Much so you can go straight to the level of intervention you need depending on how rough things are for you in the moment.
The Upward Spiral - Alex Korb: A very useful book that presents very straightforward and simple actions you can take to start to reverse the downward spiral of depression. The two-book set includes a workbook. The book is very sensitive to how little energy a person in a depressive state may have to change their trajectory. Suggestions are small and effective.
Healing Your Grieving Heart for Teens - Alan D. Wolfelt: A gentle book with a suggestion for processing grief on each page. Teens can start anywhere and try any of the ideas on any page.
Brainstorm - Daniel J. Siegel - A book by Dr. Dan Siegel, a preeminant expert in the field, it is designed to be read by both teens and their parents and celebrates the amazing possibilities that come with the emergence of the adolescent brain.
