Instructions:
This week we are going to be creating a recount with a twist. You will need to think back to some of the experiences that you have had with your family and friends. Your introduction will set up who you are talking about. Each paragraph will need to contain a detailed truth or a lie about something that you have done with your family and friends.

Last week we had our school cross county, this week we are going to write a recount about this event! If you missed cross country you can write about PES Olympics Day. If you missed both of these events you will need to create a recount about another sports day or event we have had.

The 2024 Paris Olympics is currently on. Have you been watching? We are so proud of the New Zealand Olympians that have been competing and rooting for those still to compete. We want to know more about our Olympians though. Choose a New Zealand Olympian, and write a biography about them.

This week we are going to be building on our knowledge on how to create a report, this week you are going to be creating one all about the Cook Islands. You will need to think about the following things:

1. Find and gather interesting facts about the Cook Islands.

2. Put the information in order and group similar facts together under different headings.

3. Use clear sentences and the right words to write about what you learned.

4. Make your report look nice with pictures, that relate to the article.

This term our theme is Karawhiua Give it heaps and our focus question is How does nutrition and exercise contribute to our hauora? On Monday we had an immersion assembly where all of the teams showed us what they were going to be doing this term. 

You now need to create a recount about that assembly remember to add as much detail as you can.
