PE EXTENSION

PE EXTENSION is one of our GATE programmes for Yr 5/6 children who excel in Physical Education.

We recognise the value of the tuakana-teina relationship and our children's specific gifts and talents in PE.

STUDENTS take a leadership role in PE for both their class and with the whole school.

Students are selected based on the following criteria:

Demonstrates a high level, and range, of skills and understanding of strategies in games
Provides quality reflections on own performance and quality feedback on peer performances
Excellent at working with a team
Demonstrates manaakitanga
Able to confidently demonstrate strong communication skills to peers and adults
Open to new ideas from peers and adults
Able to adapt and modify games for varying abilities
