Everything you need to know to become an Manufacturing Engineer Intern
This guide is a compilation of my top 6 most useful online resources that I have come across after spending countless hours browsing the web. The resources will take you through from beginning to end of the whole process that it takes to first understanding what type of manufacturing internship you want, understanding what employers are looking for in a candidate, how to procure the skills/certifications needed on the job, examples of how to structure your resume that best highlights your experience, and how to answer common behavioral questions that always come up in interviews.
This guide is structured in a way that should be done in chronological order. The tabs on the top of this website have titles such as "Finding a Job", "Resume Tips", "Certifications", and "Interview Prep". Once you click on a tab it will open a section that has resources about that topic. The description of what the content is on it, how to use it, and a link to the original page is included.
The intended audience for this guide is those in undergraduate college between Freshman to Junior year as this is the demographics that are looking for internship positions. This is not intended for those who are outside the engineering discipline and is mainly centered around Industrial engineering majors.
This guide was created under the assumption that the reader has some prior experience in applying to internship positions and is wanting to have supplemental sources to pull from to aid in trying to get manufacturing engineer internship positions. The user should have basic knowledge of how to navigate on internet websites as this guide uses sources from online and will require you to do simple tasks.
