PASSPORT INITIATIVE

Interested in receiving a free passport?

Opt-in to our Passport Award in your education abroad application today! Students applying to eligible education abroad programs in the summer 2022 term and beyond will see an opportunity to opt-in to a free passport in their application. Selection will be based on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to complete this part of your application early. Those selected will receive $150 towards the cost of a passport and will be invited to join Education Abroad staff for an information session where we will go over the process of applying for a passport, what documents are needed, what to expect, and more. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive support directly from Education Abroad staff. Please see additional details and eligibility requirements below.

No additional application is necessary to receive this award. Students solely need to opt-in to this initiative when applying to their education abroad program.

Eligibility:

Students must be U.S. Citizens with an open application to an approved Penn State education abroad program (excluding virtual programs and embedded programs). Those applying to virtual experiences are not eligible for this award.
