2023 EDUCATION ABROAD ENGAGEMENT WEEK

Education Abroad Engagement Week

Join Penn State Global Education Abroad and our partners during 2023 Education Abroad Engagement Week (EAEW)! Formerly known as Global Learning and Engagement Week (GLEW) and Study Abroad Week, EAEW shows Penn State students the world of opportunity at their fingertips through our 300+ education abroad programs in over 50 countries! EAEW will take place from January 17 – 20, 2023. The following featured events will be hosted by various campuses and offices throughout the week to give all students a personally applicable, well-rounded understanding of everything education abroad. Since the summer and fall 2023 deadlines are quickly approaching, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about your study abroad capabilities as a Penn State student! From funding opportunities to academic and career enrichment, you’ll learn how to take advantage of the opportunities that study, internships, and research abroad can provide! EAEW will offer workshops and information sessions for all majors! Use these resources to begin planning for your own education abroad experience! No matter your campus or class standing, EAEW has an event for you! A variety of in-person, hybrid, and virtual settings will help students from across the commonwealth engage in what education abroad has to offer.

Follow our social media pages to stay tuned with all events!

Please note that all events are listed in Eastern Standard Time. Some events, especially those that are virtual or hybrid, may require you to register to attend. Please see campus location and more event details below.

Remember, Monday, January 16 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Penn State observes this national holiday by giving all its faculty, staff, and students a day off to celebrate in whatever way we choose. For this reason, EAEW will not host any events on Monday, January 16. Penn State Global Education Abroad recommends using this day to instead attend Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration events being held at all campuses. Visit https://mlk.psu.edu/ for more information.

For your convenience, the schedule for each day is listed in the corresponding drop-down menus below. If there's a time window where two events conflict and you'd like to attend both, please choose the one most relevant to you.
