PSME Palawan Chapter was invited to the Inauguration of the PRC Palawan Computer-Based Licensure Examination (CBLE) Testing Center held on December 18, 2025, at the Upper Ground Floor, Goland Plaza Building, National Highway cor. Malvar St Barangay. San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
PSME Palawan Chapter is honored to be recognized as one of PRC Region IV-B MIMAROPA’s Partner Organizations, strengthening collaboration in advancing professional regulation and licensure services in the region.
The newly inaugurated testing center is a significant milestone for Palawan, as it will not only serve Computer-Based Licensure Examinations (CBLE) but can also accommodate the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE) for batches with less than 100 examinees, as well as the Technical Evaluation for Professional Mechanical Engineers (PME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM).
This development brings licensure and professional evaluation services closer to engineers and aspiring professionals in Palawan, promoting accessibility, efficiency, and professional excellence.

The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) Palawan Chapter proudly joined the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) MIMAROPA in the Science-Based Mechatronics, Autonomous Robotics, and Research Tournament (SMARRT Palawan) held on October 22, 2025, at SM City Puerto Princesa.
This event brought together students, educators, professionals, and innovators to showcase cutting-edge projects in robotics, automation, and applied research, highlighting the growing importance of mechatronics and intelligent systems in modern engineering practice.
Through its participation, the PSME Palawan Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to promoting science, technology, and innovation in the region, as well as inspiring future generations of engineers to pursue excellence in mechanical and automation disciplines.
The chapter’s involvement also strengthened its collaboration with DOST MIMAROPA and other academic and industry partners in advancing STEM education and supporting the province’s technological development.
The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) Palawan Chapter, in collaboration with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) Palawan South Chapter and the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) Palawan Chapter, conducted a Fire Safety Awareness Campaign across several national high schools in Southern Palawan on March 5, 2025.
The joint initiative aimed to educate students on fire prevention, safety measures, and emergency preparedness, emphasizing the vital role of engineering disciplines in protecting lives and property. Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, the activity encouraged awareness of common fire hazards and promoted responsible safety practices within schools and communities.
This collaborative outreach reflects the engineering community’s shared commitment to public safety, education, and social responsibility. By working together, the PSME, IIEE, and PIChE Palawan Chapters continue to inspire the youth and raise community awareness on the importance of safety and disaster preparedness.
