The Logo

In November of 2022, the PSME Palawan Chapter had established their Official Logo. It was proposed by the Ms. Loreen May D. Peria, a Mechanical Engineering Student from Palawan State University. 

The logo of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers – Palawan Chapter embodies both the identity of the national organization and the unique character of the province it represents.

At its core, the gear symbolizes the field of mechanical engineering — representing motion, innovation, and the interconnectedness of technology and human ingenuity. It signifies the engineers’ role in driving progress through machinery, systems, and mechanical design.

The gold and yellow hues reflect the official colors of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, in harmony with the national PSME logo. These colors stand for excellence, energy, and optimism — qualities that define both the organization and its members.

The central design features the map of Palawan, highlighting the chapter’s geographical identity and unity across the province. The inclusion of the Pilandok (Palawan mouse-deer) and the Tandikan (Palawan peacock-pheasant) — two iconic and endemic species — represents the chapter’s pride in the province’s rich biodiversity and natural heritage. Together, they serve as reminders of the engineers’ commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Overall, the logo captures the essence of professionalism, unity, and environmental consciousness — the values that guide the PSME Palawan Chapter in its service to the profession and the community.
