SCALE

Service, Creativity, Action, and Leadership Enhancement (SCALE) is a non-graded program that allows you to develop your personal and interpersonal skills and nurture important values by engaging in extracurricular activities within or outside the school environment. It provides you with a structure that will encourage you to try new things, widen your interests, collaborate with a team, hone your leadership skills, and serve your school, family, and community. It is a requirement for graduation.

Defining the Four Strands

Service: unpaid and voluntary activities; outreach conducted with any community or organization where the student does not have any family affiliation

Creativity: includes arts (visual, music, culinary, etc.) or any activity that enhances creativity; a tangible creative output is required

Action: participation in sports or any physical fitness activity; should contribute to a healthy lifestyle

Leadership: involves leading a team (planning, implementation, documentation, reporting)

Contributed actively in group activities
Demonstrated perseverance and commitment in their activities
