Effective Communication for Pre-university Students I is a learner-centered course that reinforces the fundamental communication skills. It is designed to equip the scholars with the listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiencies required to succeed in the university, giving focus on the process of independent academic writing.

Conducting observation, FGD, and interview

Content analysis

Writing the Methods section

Revising the paper

4th Quarter

   Writing the title

Final concept paper revision

Concept paper presentation

Graded Formative Tasks (25% )

(10% Completion; 15% Quality)

Quarterly Summative Assessment  (75%)

(with Milestones) 

NOTE: Essay outputs will be graded according to the following general criteria:

• Content depth of insights, the validity of claims, the accuracy of information

• Organization: development of ideas, coherence, logic

• Mechanics: punctuation, capitalization, format, APA documentation

• Language Use: grammar and word choice
