FCHS and the Poudre School District (PSD) Board of Education recognize that responsibility for the dress and appearance of students generally rests with individual students and their parents. All students should be able to dress comfortably and in a manner that expresses their individuality without fear of or actual unnecessary discipline or body shaming. To ensure effective and equitable enforcement of the dress code, school officials shall enforce the dress code consistently and in a manner that does not create disparities, reinforce stereotypes, or increase marginalization or oppression of any group. This dress code will not be more strictly enforced against students because of their race, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, age or disability.
