Fort Collins High School practices a model of inclusion for all students. Our students with disabilities are integrated into general education classes and experiences to the maximum extent possible. We offer a full range of support services for our students with disabilities; from full inclusion into general education, to a hybrid model of inclusion classes with in-class supports and a study hall, to contained classes with direct instruction to support students’ reading, writing, math and transition goals. Our case managers work collaboratively with our students’ middle school case managers to ensure a smooth transition between middle school and high school.
In addition to our academic services and supports, we also have opportunities for our students with disabilities to participate in Unified sports, including bowling, flag football, basketball, cheerleading and soccer. We also have Unified Pals, which is a group of students with and without disabilities who engage in social activities together, both in school and outside of school.
Due to the individualized nature of special education, we’ve included our contact information below. Contact us for questions or if you’d like to set up a time to meet.
Sincerely,
Integrated Services Co-Department Chairs
