I teach AP/Dual Enrollment Calculus AB/BC and College Trig, Algebra 1, and Data and Probability. I enjoy math so much that I have two degrees in it: a B.S. in Math at University of Colorado Colorado Springs and an M.S. in Applied Math at Colorado State University. I also have a B.S. in Biology and am working on an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UCCS.Â
I believe math is a skill that anyone can learn and have fun with!
I previously taught Calculus and worked in the Precalculus Center at CSU, then taught Algebra and AP Calculus in Colorado Springs for two years. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, painting, doing puzzles, and playing with my dog (pictured).
I was a full-time band kid in school. I played percussion in competitive marching band, wind ensemble, and pit orchestra for school musicals.
My master's thesis was about machine learning (but not the same kind of machine learning as ChatGPT)
I collect vinyl records.
