"Before AVID I was bad at keeping up with my homework and assignments in general. I had no motivation to keep up with my work. Because AVID and the planners I have felt motivated to stay on track. It makes me feel like my work ethic has improved. I recommend the class to people because I think a lot of people judge it at first glance, but AVID has done so much for my work ethic and mental health that I feel like it is a real family. I am around people I normally wouldn't hang out with, but I have been welcomed and respected."

"I would recommend AVID to other students because it helps with scholarship notebooks and learning about colleges and where you want to go. Having help from a teacher that you have all four years is really beneficial. Having the same people in the class for four years helps make and keep friends and helps you bond with people in your classes."

We get to do projects that have to do with college and it makes you learn about what character traits you need for life in general."
