First open Zoom from the computer desktop. On district laptops there is a Zoom icon on the desktop. On other devices it may need to be installed.
*If it's not installed, it can be from the website Zoom.us.
2. Zoom will open, then you will click on "Sign in with Google". Students should use the regular student username and password that is assigned to them.
3. Check to make sure the account icon is correct and that the account that is logged in is in fact the student account.
4. Now go to the correct Google Classroom of the teacher you are wanting to Zoom with. Now you can click their Zoom link and you should be logged into the correct account.
*If for some reason it is still now the correct account. You can click on the account icon at the top right of the zoom window and sign out, and then sign into the correct account*
At the bottom of the Zoom screen, find the tool bar. You may need to move your mouse to make it appear. Find and click on the button labeled "chat".
2. The chat window will open on the page. Find the link your teacher has given you. Click on the link.
3. The link will open a brand new window. It is VERY important to remember, even though your screen does not look like Zoom, you are still in your Zoom meeting. You can still be seen or heard if your camera or microphone is one.
4. You can complete the quiz and submit the answers and then close the window. However, you may need to go back to Zoom to view something from your teacher. You can switch back and forth between your newly opened window and your Zoom meeting. You have two options.
You can hover over Zoom (or whatever other tool you are trying to open) on the bottom Windows Toolbar. When you hover your Zoom icon, you will see your Zoom window pop up smaller at the bottom. Click on the correct window you want to open it. Do this when you want to open your quiz back up too, but you'll hover over the Chrome icon.
You can use the minimize and maximize buttons in the top right corner. The minimize is the subtraction sign that will "send" your window to the bottom, and it will temporarily "disappear". The square next to the minimize sign can make your window smaller so you can still see it.
5. Once you are finished with the chat box, you can close it out so it's not longer in your screen. Click the small arrow in the top left corner of the chat box and choose "close".
