Within the G Marketplace, search for Kami and click on it.
There will be an "Install" button. Click on it and it will install.
5. The first time the student opens Kami, this screen will appear. The student will need to login with Google. Choose "With Google" and it will connect the account automatically.
6. Students will really only need to enter this way if they are getting a document from their drive that has been shared with them, from their computer, or if they want to create a new project.
Below are the instructions a student would typically follow in order to use Kami with documents.
1. Typically students will open their assignments with Kami from Google Classroom. First, the student would open Google Classroom from their student waffle.
2. The student would choose the classroom they want to work in.
3. Choose the "Classwork" app at the top to see all of the current assignments. Find the day and subject of the assignment the student wants to work on. Click the assignment.
4. The student can either click on the mini photo of the assignment or they can click "view assignment" to get to their documents needed for that subject.
5. At the top of the file it will say "Open With", click on that and choices will appear. From there choose "Annotate with Kami" and it will open the document in Kami.
6. The first time the student opens Kami, they will need to give G Drive access. Choose "Authorize Google Drive" and it will open the document.
7. The student can use the sidebar in order to edit the assignment depending on what their teacher is expecting of them.
When the student is done, they should click "Turn In" so the assignment shows up as complete in G Classroom.
