Plainfield Central High School will be hosting Freshmen Exploration night on, TBD. The intent of the Exploration Night program will help incoming freshmen and their parents get acquainted with Plainfield High School, the curriculum and opportunities for extracurricular activities. The overall goal is to help ease the eighth grade students overall transition to high school.
This event will be the initial stage in the registration process for all incoming freshmen. Students will receive their high school course recommendations and freshman registration packet. Department chairpersons and counselors will be on hand at each school to assist and answer any questions. Students and their families may also be able to browse the array of after school activities, and meet with coaches and discuss the high school sports programs.
Most Freshmen level math classes will require the student to have access to a TI-84 Graphing Calculator
Students will be required to purchase a Fit For Life PE shirt-- this can be purchased on the first day of school or through Eichs (click on the picture to the left to purchase.
On the first day of school teachers will go over specific supplies necessary for their class. This may include organizational items, such as, binders/folders/notebooks etc. Additional items may include specific color pens, pencils, and highlighters.
