We would like to be sure that all our parents of current sophomores and juniors are aware of the tremendous opportunity to save money on the cost of college and shorten the time to graduate from college that Plainfield CCSD 202 offers to our families. This cost and time saving opportunity is available through our increasing Dual Credit course offerings at our high schools. A traditional college course is 3-credit hours and is billed according to the tuition and fees set by the college.
Joliet Junior College tuition is currently $151/credit hour, which means a 3-credit course cost approximately $453. However, tuition per credit hour at a 4-year college or private college can range much higher. Instead, Dual Credit courses taught at the high school cost either $36 or $50 per course through JJC, Waubonsee, or University of St. Francis; Prep for College Math courses are free.
