Practice skip counting by 10s, 20s, 50s, and 100s with your child. Ask your child to draw pictures of the rows of ants. Ask them to notice what changes each time.
Second Grade mathematics is primarily about (1) extending understanding of tens and ones to hundreds, tens and ones; (2) building fluency with addition and subtraction with numbers up to 1,000; (3) using standard units of measure; and (4) describing and analyzing shapes.
