Remote Learning / Aprendizaje remoto

The student logs in to the virtual classroom environment at scheduled times to view lectures or participate in group learning activities

Services (both individual and group) for persons dealing with bereavement. The Bronx bereavement support group is scheduled for Thursdays from 1:00-2:30. There is no charge to participate in this group. A connection to Calvary is not necessary to participate.

NYC Well

This is a toll-free hotline for NYC that provides confidential and free assistance for mental health and substance use concerns. Staff by trained Counselors 24 hours, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. By phone: 1-888-NYC-WELL (692-9355) – para Español: PRESS #3. Text “Well” to 65173. Access chat through their website. Calls, texts and chats can be done in English, Spanish and Chinese. Interpretation services are offered for 200+ languages.

The Visiting Nurse Services of New York Children's Mobile Crisis Team

Provides Crisis Care for children, teens and their families who need the following: Crisis assessment; Crisis stabilization; Prevention Planning; and Caregiver support. The Team consists of licensed clinical staff with advanced degrees in counseling as well as family advocates. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide crisis management for children and adolescents in active crisis situations. A team will: Provide crisis de-escalation; Conduct a psycho social assessment; Initiate prevention planning; Collaborate with existing services; Coach Caregivers on how to manage situations and prevent future crisis situations. Make a (Children’s Mobile) crisis call to NYC Well (1-888-692-9355): If your child is behaving in a threatening manner: Physical and/or verbal aggression OR Extreme acting out behavior; If your child is experiencing a current psychiatric crisis: Bizarre behavior, Disorganized thinking, OR Extreme moods; If your child is displaying active symptoms of depression: Withdrawn, Loss of appetite, Making passive suicidal statements, OR Showing signs of self-harm.

Family Resource Centers (aka Vibrant Emotional Health)

Aims to help reduce the isolation and stress of parenting a child with emotional and behavioral difficulties. They provide support and resources to families who are raising children with mental health needs. Their program is staffed by family advocates who have shared similar experiences and succeeded in navigating the complexities of the child service system. Specially trained youth advocates work with enrolled young persons to help them make a successful transition to adulthood. Services are for any parent or caregiver of a child under 18 with emotional or behaviroal health issues in New York City. They also provide services to youth up to age 24 who could benefit from additional emotional or behavioral support. All services are free of charge and offered in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Program Hours of Operation for all FRCs is Monday - Friday (:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
