Effective Date: 15 December 2025
Applies to all Jervis Bay housekeepers dropping linen at the Culburra Beach or Callala Bay offices.
To ensure consistent, reliable laundry processing and eliminate linen shortages, all linen must be sorted into just two categories:
• W = Whites
• C = Coloured
This keeps the process simple and allows both laundries to handle linen efficiently.
Every linen item must be placed into one of the two bag types:
W = Whites (Towels + Sheets + Any White Items)
Place all white items into a W bag, including:
Bath towels
Hand towels
Bath sheets
White bath mats
All white sheets (any size)
White pillowcases
White mattress protectors
Face washers:
As per housekeeping policy — dispose of all face washers, do not return them.
C = Coloured Items
Place all coloured or patterned items into a C bag, including:
Coloured doona covers
Coloured doona pillow slips
Coloured mattress protectors
Blankets
Coloured bath mats
Tea towels
Any coloured or patterned property-specific items
When dropping off any coloured items, you must mark them so they return to the correct office stock.
Dot Rules:
Blue dot → Callala Bay Office
Red dot → Culburra Beach Office
Instructions:
1. Use the texters provided at the offices.
2. Apply the dot discreetly on the label or a hidden area.
3. Also write the property name on each coloured item.
4. Do not remove texters from the offices.
Sorting outcome:
Blue-dot items → placed in the Callala Bay coloured/misc section
Red-dot items → placed in the Culburra coloured/misc section
Housekeepers must collect coloured items only from their designated office.
Housekeepers must use the laminated card to record what is collected and dropped off.
How to use:
Record the number of W items and C items at the property.
Take a photo of the card before leaving.
Use the photo to pick up the correct quantities at the office.
Wipe the card and leave it at the property.
This ensures parity between what is dropped off and what is collected.
1. Use the linen currently stored at the property until only one complete set remains on the beds.
2. During this period, do not collect new linen from the office.
3. When one set remains:
Collect one W set (and any required C items).
4. There must always be:
One complete set on the beds
One complete set stored at the property
5. Return any excess linen to the office neatly folded.
1. Bring all dirty linen into the office in W and C bags only.
2. Place the bags in the designated dirty-linen area.
3. No further sorting is required at the office.
You may collect additional W or C bags as needed — just don’t take excessive quantities.
Housekeepers must collect the same quantity of linen they dropped off.

Transporting Clean Linen:
You do not need to divide clean linen into W/C bags.

Ensure the property has enough spare W and C bags for the next clean.
Place any damaged or heavily stained items into the designated damaged linen area at the office.
Do not put them back into W or C bags.
1. Owner-supplied linen will be integrated into the commingled pool unless the owner opts out.
2. If an owner withdraws their linen:
• You will be notified
• Return the owner’s linen as instructed
• Collect two full sets of W items and any C items needed
3. The property then follows the standard:
• One set on beds
• One set in storage

W and C bags used correctly
All coloured items dotted blue/red

Linen requests are no longer required.
The W/C commingled system auto-balances stock levels.
