Mr P Kunhikrishnan

Scientist ‘H’ and Deputy Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), has taken over as the Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, today. He took over as Director from Dr M Y S Prasad, who superannuated by the end May 2015. He assumed charge as the Project Director of PSLV Project in June 2010 and has successfully accomplished 13 PSLV Missions as Mission Director. These include such significant missions like PSLV-C19 that carried RISAT-1, the heaviest Indian remote sensing satellite launched by PSLV to Sun Synchronous Orbit so far, PSLV-C21 and PSLV C23, two missions that successfully launched two French operational Earth Observation Satellites to intended orbits, PSLV-C25 that launched India’s Mars Orbiter Spacecraft and the four PSLV missions that launched first four satellites of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS).

Dr S Vijaya Bhaskara Rao

Dr. Rao is Director of UGC-SVU Centre for MST Radar Application, Sri Venkateswara University. and has collaborations with ISRO, SHAR, NARL, NAL, IITM, PUNE, VSSC, MCF, HASSAN. and also Hon'aray Director, Centre for Disaster & Drought Management.

25 years as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. Taught subjects like Atmospheric Science, communication electronics, Digital and mobile communications, Atmospheric Instrumentation, Atmospheric Dynamics works on Estimating the escape of water to space through D/H ratio and atomic hydrogen escape in the Martian upper atmosphere Climate change perspectives through studies on aerosols, atmospheric modelling and Remote sensing & on Vertical and lateral coupling investigations of lower and middle atmospheres using MLT radars network.

Dr C K Jayasankar

Dr C.K has 38 years of research experience in Spectroscopy of Lanthanide Ions, Photonics, Laser Glass Spectroscopy & Material Science. with 232 research publications. Luminescence properties of Sm3+, Eu3+, Dy3+, Er3+, and Nd3+ ions in fluorophosphate glasses for photonic applications. Optical spectroscopic characterization of Nd3+, Sm3+, Dy3+ , Er3+, Tm3+and Yb3+ doped tungsten-zirconium-tellurite glasses for photonic applications. are his new projects.

Prof Shen-Ming Chen

professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. From 2010, he has been a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been the Dean(Curator) of the library, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 2000 to 2006 and the Director of Extracurricular Activity, the office of student affairs, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 1995 to 2000. His research interest includes Nanocomposite materials research, organic electrochemistry, bioelectrochemistry, conducting polymer Electrochemistry, Nanoelectrochemistry, chemical sensors, biosensors, electrocatalysis and electroanalysis.
