The ETC department can assist with the desktop publishing of your Moodle course and printed course-ware that you provide for your students.
Please contact Stacey Layden to set up a time to review the layout of your course.
Images and Graphics
Here are a few basic things to keep in mind when self-assessing the graphics and images in your course materials:
- Images can be no larger than 5.5” wide x 8.75” high in paper modules. Images that utilize horizontal space over vertical space are preferred. When possible, aim for graphics that are 5.5” wide x 3.5” tall.
- Try to maintain perfect clarity in handouts and Moodle images. You should always keep a digital copy of your handouts to print from, rather than photocopying existing ones.
- Line art is preferable for technical diagrams & schematics over photos due to clarity of focus and labelling. If you need an image converted into line art, please contact Stacey Layden or Amanda Fitzgerald for support in this area.
- Be sure to note the original source of the image, and check for any copyright restrictions.
