Day 6
The clinic wasn’t open today, so I took the opportunity to knock out some chores and prepare for the upcoming week. I woke up around 8:35 so I could grab breakfast before the dining hall closed. After getting food, I sat down and studied for my knee test next week. I’m really starting to get better at memorizing the different parts of the knee and identifying where everything is located. The more I review it, the more it all starts connecting together.
After studying, I started working on my reflection for the week. I went back and read through every daily blog I wrote so I could get a better understanding of everything that has happened over the past five days. Looking back on it all made me realize just how much I’ve learned already in a short amount of time. My plan for the reflection is to list a few key points and then go more in depth about each one. One thing I definitely want to talk about is the importance of patient connections and communication. It doesn’t seem like anything crazy at first, but it’s honestly wild to think about how many people you can meet and learn from in just one week inside a clinic.
I took a break from writing to go watch film from last night’s lacrosse game with my team, then headed back to my dorm to continue working on the reflection. While writing, I made some food and thankfully was able to finish getting all my ideas down on paper. Tomorrow, I’m going to go back through it, fix grammar and spelling mistakes, and make some adjustments to improve readability.
I ended the day with more studying for my test. Now it’s time to watch college lacrosse and UFC!
