New Coaches of PHS Sports

By Claire Dearing

High School sports roll back around for the new school year and we have some new faces in Princeville High School sports. I will be introducing you to three new coaches in volleyball and football.

PHS sports has new coaching staff that have joined us this year. Starting off with volleyball they have a new fresh/soph coach, Kati Eddlemon. Once a volleyball player herself, Kati played for 4 years at Peoria Notre Dame High School and planned to play at Illinois Central College but retired due to an injury. From Coach Kati herself, “Since starting out here at Princeville High School, this season has gone very well and the support from family, friends, and fellow students and student athletes really help. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my players and seeing them progress on and off the court.”

Next up, football. PHS Football has received a few new coaches. Greg Urbanc graduated from Princeville High School in 2017, played defensive back at MacMurray College 2017-20, and transferred to Greenville college 2020-21. Greg coaches wide receivers and defensive backs for Princeville Football. Mark Pilon graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2012. He played linebacker at Benedictine University from 2012-2013. Mark coaches offensive line and linebackers for Princeville Football. Welcome, new coaches!
